Sheila Gatensby
Founder & Owner

Sheila has spent over three decades in community theatre and drama education. As a director, teacher, and mentor, she’s helped countless performers and production teams bring their creative visions to life, often on extremely limited budgets.
After retiring from teaching, Sheila launched Go Fog Yourself to solve a problem she’d encountered countless times: talented people who wanted professional fog effects but couldn’t access them affordably. The Antari Ice 101 was the answer, and sharing it with her community became the mission.
When she’s not helping clients create magical fog moments, Sheila stays active in Toronto’s theatre scene, directing productions and supporting the next generation of performers and technicians.
Our Story
How We Got Started
Go Fog Yourself began with a simple observation: the people who need fog effects most, community theatres, schools, wedding couples, small event organizers, are exactly the people priced out of the market.
As a community theatre director and retired drama teacher with over 30 years of experience, I’ve watched talented groups compromise their creative vision because dry ice was too expensive, too hard to find, or too complicated to handle. I’ve seen AV company quotes that made wedding couples abandon their dream of a magical first dance. I’ve talked to DJs who wanted to offer something special but couldn’t justify the cost.
When I discovered the Antari Ice 101, a machine that creates stunning low-lying fog using regular ice cubes, I knew I had found the solution. I launched Go Fog Yourself in December 2025 to share this innovation with the community that nurtured me.
